Have any of you tried the Mech Tech conversions. They use the lower end of a glock or 1911 to create a PPC. A gunsmith and comp shooter in the area has one using a Glock and it works very well. I don`t have the Link handy but a internet search finds them ok.
Sounds like a natural for GMan. I am going to have a .45 converted.( a few months.)

I've looked at a few of them for the 1911, but never bought one. Numrich Arms also has a kit that includes a 16" barrel and a shoulder stock with a replacement mainspring housing. Most people are unhappy with larger capacity magazines for the Colt too. I have never seen one built on the Glock frame. Here's some URLs:

The Numrich kit is cheaper but I've never known anyone that preferred these to a real rifle. If you get one let us know how it works for you.

check "cheaper than dirt!" out of ft. worth, tx. for a 1911 carbine kit. if memory serves, costs about 250 or so. has buttstock, extended barrel, and rear main spring housing to attach buttstock.
