Concealable ballistic armor

Ok, what do we know about concealable ballistic armor, especially for women? I’m considering vests that would be for occasional use (not everyday, all day) during a SHTF scenario, and I’m not going to be allowed to take measurements of my wife and daughter. Any advice based on experience would be appreciated.
